Assess whether you have the perfect ride for your getaway. Make sure you have a powerful ride especially if you will go to a mountainous or slopey areas.

Check the lights, security alarms and of course, the tires of your ride. Make sure they function properly and you are equipped with a spare tire in case you encounter sharp objects on the road.

Check the engine or better if you have it checked by an experienced personnel in the auto shop. Do this at least two weeks before your getaway so you can have ample time to do something about any problems you encounter.
